OUR VISION

Ashokan Center will be a living classroom in harmony with nature and the arts.

The design, construction, and maintenance of every structure on the property will incorporate innovative concepts in Green living, with an emphasis on sustainability. With this as a core principle, Ashokan Center will be an ideal environmental think tank for experts, professionals, and students to share ideas, strategies, and philosophies.

Ashokan Center will continue to function as an outdoor education center for school groups and as a conference center for other organizations. It's improved facilities will appeal to a much broader range of clients. We believe that the participation of other organizations in Ashokan Center's living classroom will be instrumental in our efforts to bring environmental awareness and responsible stewardship into mainstream consciousness.
